The goal of this course is to provide the participants a base-line of knowledge and skills to effectively manage an Emergency Operations Center during crisis situations; and examine the interface required to efficiently interface and merge EOC responsibilities and functions with the Incident Command System. In addition to covering topics such as EOC location, layout, staffing and overall management, the course also allows the participants to begin the initial development of an EOC/ICS interface model for their community. The course uses in-class exercises and small group discussions to reinforce the key points for EOC management and effective, efficient EOC/ICS interface.
Local, tribal and state personnel charged with the development, staffing, managing an EOC and establishing an interactive and supportive interface with the Incident Command System commander and command post.
