The Amarillo/Potter/Randall Office of Emergency Management (OEM), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the American Red Cross recommend that you keep enough supplies in your home to meet your needs for at least three days. These supplies should be part of your family emergency supply kit and contain six basic elements including: water, food, sanitation items, clothing and bedding, tools and emergency supplies, and special items. Keep those items that you would most likely need during a disaster in an easy-to-carry container.
